Rosario Dawson, Ava DuVernay, Mark Ruffalo & Other Stars Celebrate Halt of Dakota Access Pipeline Construction

The Army Corps of Engineers denied the permit required to construct the Dakota Access Pipeline on Sunday, which elicited cheers of celebration on social media from many stars who’d spoken out and protested against the DAPL at the Standing Rock reservation in North Dakota in recent months.

Actress Shailene Woodley, who was arrested for criminal trespassing back in October while protesting the DAPL construction, took to Twitter to celebrate, joking, “Soooo how many #NoDAPL babies you think are going to be made tonight?!”
